10:45am Parish Communion
The 10.45am service is the main service of Holy Communion. The liturgy is from Common Worship but uses a more contemporary form of language than at the 8am service.
The hymns, from The New English Hymnal and New Hymns and Worship Songs, are a mixture of traditional and contemporary and the music is lead by the choir and the organ.
The sermon gives insight into the Gospel reading set for the day and every so often there is the opportunity for the ministry of the Laying on of Hands for anyone who would find this helpful.
As after the 9.30am service, there are refreshments in the parish hall and the opportunity to talk to old or new found friends.
Occasionally the service at 10.45am is a non-communion Service of the Word and on these Sundays the service of Evensong at 6pm is replaced by a traditional form of Holy Communion.
This Summer the sermons at the Parish Communion Service are following the theme of Building a People of Faith. The forthcoming events page includes the sermon theme where known at this time.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
