Baptism

At St Mary’s we have a Baptism Service every first and third Sunday of the month. Due to the many baptisms we take at St Mary’s this is a dedicated service held in the afternoon and does not form part of the Sunday morning worship service. If you would like to find out more or would like to arrange a baptism, please come along to the Rector’s Surgery held on Saturday mornings between 9.30am and 10.30am in the Church Office (opposite the church by the green).

If you are not ready to make the promises the baptism service requires of you you may like to consider a Thanksgiving instead for your child. This is not a dedicated service and would take place during one of the morning services. There is no formal liturgy but a simple thanksgiving to God for the precious gift of your child. There are no godparents and you do not make the same promises.
